sorry not to come back to this again but i feel like talking in the tags isn’t enough.

as someone who is AFAB and has studied vocal music for almost 6 years— i am still not “good” enough. i can get praised all day long by people in charge of choirs and shit but at the end of the day, i can’t do runs, my voice is a little gritty, it cracks a lot, and i don’t have a beautiful perfect feminine tone that society and the music industry expect from me.

it’s really truly so fucked up how cis men have it so fucking easy in the music industry. it literally blows my mind. i know so many women who have more talent in their left pinky toe than brian sella has in his entire body, and not only that, but i know so many women who have worked EFFORTLESSLY to improve their singing voices for years to basically no praise or approval from anyone. i think we should start killing men for real actually and writing shitty songs with shitty vocals about it
